The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on September 11, 2026, issued a notification regarding amendments to DP Operating Instructions Chapter – 2.
The following has been stated: -
•CDSL has amended its DP Operating Instructions, Chapter 2 – Account Opening, pursuant to SEBI Circular dated December 10, 2025, providing relaxation in geo-tagging requirements in India for NRIs undertaking re-KYC.
•DPs are advised to take note of the amendments incorporated in the DP OI and refer to Annexure-A for the detailed changes.
